1964 Jaguar Lightweight E-Type

Full FIA specification all aluminium new build. Zero miles.

Body

All new aluminium panels supplied by Jaguar Racing Panels in the UK. Tub has correct period strengthening sections and roll cage mounting points. Doors, boot lid, hard top and bonnet period correct in aluminium. Including air vents in roof and boot lid. Aluminium hockey sticks (front screen trims). I was told the panels collectively weigh only 80 KG. The body has been painted externally in silver, as per the original cars. Lightweight alloy seat frames. New race spec engine frames. Alloy dashboard and top cover.

Engine

All new aluminium block and wide angle cylinder head. Steel billet crankshaft. Race spec fluid filled crankshaft damper. Billet aluminium pulleys. Steel connection rods. Special high compression 88mm Omega pistons. 10.359 to 1 compression ratio. Big valves 2.092”inlet and 1.687”exhaust. Steel billet race camshafts. 44mm steel cam followers. HD race timing chains and special HD timing chain tensioner. High pressure oil pump. Braded cam oil feed pipes. FIA tubular exhaust manifolds. SS big bore exhaust system. Tripple Weber DCOE 48mm twin choke carburettors. Mallory dule point distributor. Oil cooler and spin on filter. LWE spec vented cam covers and Monza oil filler cap.

Clutch and flywheel

7 ¼ inch triple plate. Lightweight steel flywheel. ARP bolts. Competition release bearing.

Gearbox

Competition straight cut all synchro 4 speed. Brand new gearbox.

Front suspension

Race spec wishbones. Uprated sway bar. Two-way adjustable dampers. Race spec torsion bars.

Rear axle and IRS

Sayer spec race differential. Billet alloy support plate. Gusseted lower control arms. Alloy differential cover plate. Two-way adjustable dampers.

Brakes

Period correct MK9 race spec alloy calipers, with ½ inch discs. Race spec brake pads.

Wheels and tyres

Dunlop peg drive alloy wheels. 7 inch front and 8 inch rears. Three eared knock-on spinners. Dunlop CR65 vintage racing tyres.
