This Escort is just the ticket for the serious historic rally driver.
Fully seam welded and braced shell by 'Pritchard Motorsport' with forest arches. The rear half shell is genuine works rally from Hannu Mikola's London-Sydney car, with the C pillar alloy fuel filler. 5 link rear suspension, rear turrets, 'World Cup' cross-member, fully integral steel roll cage and strut brace. The Cosworth 2 litre BDG all alloy engine has ceramic coated JE pistons, rally cams, 48mm Webbers, dry sump lubrication, Tilton starter motor and flywheel. Also comes with a spare 1600cc block and pistons.
The gearbox is a 5 speed ZF with ultra close ratios. The clutch is a ceramic twin plate AP with centre hydraulic release. Brakes are 4 wheel AP disc's with adjustable bias bar and full pedal box. Aeroquip brake hydraulic lines. The Fiera rear axle has a 5.1;1 ratio with LSD. Also a spare Atlas full floating axle with 4.9;1 ZF LSD comes with the car.
Race seats, harnesses, foam filled fuel tank, period instruments, hydraulic hand brake, Cibie lights and spots and magnesium 'Minilite' wheels complete the package. The car is fully rebuilt and yet to be run-in. Rally expert Ian Hill of Gosford Dynotune built the car and the engine was built by Wayne Smith of Smiths Engine Research.
